“This is what Jesus had in mind: folks coming together, forming close-knit communities and meeting each other's needs-- no kings, no major welfare systems, no presidents necessary. His is a theology and practice for the people of God, not a set of suggestions for empire.”..... By Shane Claiborne, Jesus for President: Politics for Ordinary Radicals
Government Appoints Ministerial Lead for Loneliness
This is surely an awesome step in the right direction, and that which could create a new beginning for many who have been neglected by their communities subconsciously.
We all believe to be leading a very busy life, that which have no room to accommodate another person's 'drama' or 'needs, however, in every very busy day, there is always that few minute we can spare for one another. It is all about being in the moment and the need for us to be tune with our decisions..
Step In The Right Direction
Having an ''appointing a ministerial lead on loneliness'' may seem like a brilliant beginning, however, we need to ensure that the appointed MP have the full understanding of the impact of loneliness and how people are affected. This is why it is important for us as a community to speak out about how loneliness is affecting us and the things we need in place to secure some sort of resolution.
The Community Cares Club is not a government own organisation, but a secured not-for-profit organisation which is set up to be the voice for many. Becoming a member will ensure that you are supported by 'Us' - Community Cares Club - for as long as you continue to be a member.
If you have found yourself feeling lonely and isolated at any point in your life, and you envisage that the possibility of you experiencing loneliness is relatively high, then becoming a member could be a step in the right direction for you.
“One of the most important things you can do on this earth is to let people know they are not alone.”
“I believe that the community - in the fullest sense: a place and all its creatures - is the smallest unit of health and that to speak of the health of an isolated individual is a contradiction in terms. (pg. 146, Health is Membership)” ― Wendell Berry,
“Everybody is a story. When I was a child, people sat around kitchen tables and told their stories. We don't do that so much anymore. Sitting around the table telling stories is not just a way of passing time. It is the way the wisdom gets passed along. The stuff that helps us to live a life worth remembering.” ― Rachel Naomi Remen
“One of the marvelous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn't as individuals. When we pool our strength and share the work and responsibility, we can welcome many people, even those in deep distress, and perhaps help them find self-confidence and inner healing.”
